A plane to Copenhagen, a boat to Oslo, and a train to Stockholm not only entertained and educated him, they gave me a different perspective on life. With the objective of raising a worldly child I planned an international trip "for him." I was concerned about safety, how well he would travel, and my goodness what on earth will he eat, when he complains about everything but pizza at home? I had been to Scandinavia before; I thought I was doing this trip just for him. In the end I saw a completely different, and very interesting, side of the world because I viewed it through the eyes of a little boy. |
